
Have you ever just been thumbing through a magazine and come upon a recipe that makes you say to yourself, "I need to try this one!" Well, this is how I came upon the
recipe for:
Caramel Apple Pie
2 prepared Pie Crusts
20 Kraft Caramel Squares
1/2 tsp. Nutmeg
1 tsp. milk
1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped Pecans
1/2 tsp. Allspice
2 Cans (21 oz.) Apple Pie Filling
1 tsp. Sugar 1 egg
Combine all spices with pie filling. Pour into one prepared pie crust. Melt caramels
and milk in a micro-safe bowl for about a minute, stirring twice. Pour melted
caramels over the pie filling. Place pecans on top. Cover with second crust. Vent
crust for baking. Brush top of crust with the beaten egg and sprinkle with 1 tsp.
sugar. Bake at 400 degrees for about 45 minutes.
